In August-September 2019 (OOC time), a group of Chosen finally hacked the City's network system and created a sub-network — a Chosen-only network server. Here is a more in-depth look at the details of the plot, which characters participated, and some answers to questions!

This entry will be updated with applications that tech-savvy Chosen have created on this network. While any Chosen is free to use these apps and this network, please keep at least some element of realism when having a character create apps (is your character straight from the year 1472 in an average earth world going to someone fluent in app coding? Likely not!), but other than that, go forth.

Any 'apps' that players can put in their characters's journal to simulate things like messenger apps, dating apps, etc., are not eligible for activity check purposes. In other words: If it's not initially/originally threaded in the logs or network comm itself, it's not valid for AC. (This has always been a game rule.)

Apps are not considered available ICly until they are OOCly submitted and mod-approved here (see form below). This is to reduce a lot of overlap and redundancy that may develop in network apps (for example: while two-three apps that do the same thing would be okay, having fifty that do the same thing would get to be too much to maintain), and to keep things level.

After the recent attack on the Tower (again...), the City has done something to keep the Chosen on their toes. It's worked a little influence and magic to open up the City borders some, for good. Except instead of going outward beyond the forests, it went up.

Is this a gift or curse to the Chosen? Well...

Ocean planet - Designated "AQ-84162725"

There are no land masses on this planet, just a long dock, of sorts; the only way to not be in water is to get in one of the mini-submarines (seats two people, maximum) by the dock and drive around the ocean. The mini-subs also have some bare-bones scuba diving equipment in them, if you want to venture out of the submarine.

This planet has one moon, which is not open to for Chosen to travel to at this time. There are twenty hours of sunlight, and two of darkness, totaling a twenty-two hour cycle. It's sunny, but not hot.

Jungle planet - Designated "XT-13687238"

This planet is nothing but deep, twisting, harsh jungles; the trees are so tall that the tops can barely be seen from the ground, their leaves and vines around them obscuring the view of much of the sky.

Parts of this planet are more wet (and thus moist/humid) than other sections of this planet, so the temperature can vary depending on where you venture. There is life such as snakes, monkeys, lizards, birds -- all with their own non-Earthly twist, of course.

This planet has six moons, none of which can be reached by the Chosen at this time. Not that they could see the moons (unless they flew up, if they have flight powers) because of all the dang trees and nonsense up there. This planet has nine hours of sunlight and sixteen hours of darkness. Yes, that does equal twenty-five hours.

Desert planet - Designated "PN-59807212"

This planet is hot as fuck. It never gets any lower than 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and reaches temperatures up to 130 degrees Fahrenheit, so bring your sunscreen and plenty of water. Much like parts of the American West, there are large rock formations dispersed around this planet, as well as desert life such as cacti, snakes, lizards, etc. Again, all with their non-Earthly twists.

Aside from the sweltering sun (only one of those), it has two moons. This planet's day cycle is.. uh, constant sunlight, so good luck seeing those two moons. The day cycle here is FOREVER.

— SOME NOTES —

» 1 | There are anywhere between 50-100 of each of the five species on each planet, and of each species, anywhere from around half to a third of its members have reached human-like intelligence. There are spots on each planet where they conduct their work; these spots are locked down from the Chosen. Like people, some are more aggressive than others. Some are more into shady research than others. So on and so forth.

» 2 | Chosen can travel from planet to planet and back to the City by magic pods. Just get in and it zips you there in one second.

» 3 | There's no new Magistrate for this domain. Because The Sun is the heart of the suggestion, the only way to get to these planets from the main City is in the Finance District. New arrivals to the City will not be put on one of the planets as a starting point, and no Chosen is allowed to actually live there. They can visit all they like, though. Chosen can stay on the planets for up to four days before being forcibly returned to their assigned housing by the power of the City.
