In August-September 2019 (OOC time), a group of Chosen finally hacked the City's network system and created a sub-network — a Chosen-only network server. Here is a more in-depth look at the details of the plot, which characters participated, and some answers to questions!

This entry will be updated with applications that tech-savvy Chosen have created on this network. While any Chosen is free to use these apps and this network, please keep at least some element of realism when having a character create apps (is your character straight from the year 1472 in an average earth world going to someone fluent in app coding? Likely not!), but other than that, go forth.

Any 'apps' that players can put in their characters's journal to simulate things like messenger apps, dating apps, etc., are not eligible for activity check purposes. In other words: If it's not initially/originally threaded in the logs or network comm itself, it's not valid for AC. (This has always been a game rule.)

Apps are not considered available ICly until they are OOCly submitted and mod-approved here (see form below). This is to reduce a lot of overlap and redundancy that may develop in network apps (for example: while two-three apps that do the same thing would be okay, having fifty that do the same thing would get to be too much to maintain), and to keep things level.

APP NAME: Across The Universe

APP PURPOSE: Sending pre-written messages to the network at large or a few select people once someone vanishes from the City. For all your heart-wrenching goodbye messages to CR when you drop a character (or funny moments when they temporarily leave for a canon update if you so choose to set their timer that short), or, alternatively, those final 'fuck you' messages.

FEATURES: The only thing it does is post messages to the network once a Chosen's ID is no longer in the network for a specified amount of time.

VISUAL DESIGN: The app icon is an off-white square with a coffin and ghost emoji; the app is basically just a notepad app.

CODE?: Nah.

APP NAME: meme.me
APP PURPOSE: To share, generate and edit meme's
FEATURES: It can take pictures and allow you to put text to them and various other affects. The idea is for cat meme's but Shuri will welcome all memes! This city needs some wacky time wasting nonsense.
